This is a plain-language draft for the open beta. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before the product starts charging.
3DPrintSpy(“we”, “the service”) is a market-intelligence dashboard for 3D-printing marketplaces. This page explains what data we collect, why, and who processes it. We aim to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, and the first/last name you optionally provide, handled by our authentication provider when you sign up or log in.
- Seller settings: your saved cost rates (filament price, electricity cost, marketplace fee) and your chosen plan, stored so the profit calculator works for you.
- Watchlist: the model IDs you save as favorites.
- Notifications & followed categories: which niches you follow and the in-app alerts generated for you (for signed-in users; anonymous visitors keep these only in their own browser).
What we do NOT collect
- We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.
- We do not collect payment card data — billing is not live yet.
The 3D-model data on the dashboard
The trending models, scores and metrics shown in the app are aggregated from public pages on MakerWorld, Printables and Thingiverse. This is public marketplace data about products, not personal data about you.
Who processes your data
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting (stores your account, settings, watchlist and notifications).
- Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.
- Discord — receives operational alerts about our data pipeline health only; no user data is sent.
Cookies & analytics
We use only the cookies our authentication provider needs to keep you signed in. We do not currently run a third-party analytics or advertising suite. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
Your choices
You can edit your name and seller settings, or sign out, from Settings. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at hello@3dprintspy.xyz.
